Wally Wallington has demonstrated that he can lift a Stonehenge-sized pillar weighing 22,000 lbs and moved a barn over 300 ft. What makes this so special is that he does it using only himself, gravity, and his incredible ingenuity. http://www.theforgottentechnology.com/

Nov 3, 2008 - They went from the preseli hills in wales up hill, down hill, across rocky terrain maybe used a raft & floated them down the bristol channel, then on to wiltshire up hill, down hill, across rocky terrain 150 miles later they arrived. Then they needed bigger stones, nearest source was marlborough downs 19 miles away up hill, down hill, across rocky terrain? Do you really think a pepple would of worked? You pea brained yank!

Nov 4, 2008 - How does he get it initially off the ground?
oilhammer04 Says:
Nov 5, 2008 - Maybe he drives wedges under one end.

Nov 5, 2008 - We just selected Comrade Obama. Try again later, since we don't even check citizenship that closely.
roboto999 Says:
Nov 10, 2008 - I would guess he used that rolling tool to get the boulder off the ground and then stuck the pebbles underneath it.

Nov 11, 2008 - What an ass you are. A man shows part of what could have been done. Instead of appreciating and learning from it, you denigrate it because he does not have every single answer laid out for you. You are not much of a learner, are you? You are far more experienced with unfounded criticism.

Nov 11, 2008 - Human innovation and learning. That is what drives and improves our species.

Nov 11, 2008 - I think wedges would be easier and faster.
paparazzifreak Says:
Nov 12, 2008 - instead of using the pebbles to move it, he could of just rolled it on logs..
JayZoop Says:
Nov 12, 2008 - Logs are hard to use for one person especially if the ground is bumpy.

Nov 14, 2008 - Just say NO! Donkey.
666pandemic Says:
Nov 15, 2008 - While I respect your argument and admit kalclarke's comment assumes a lot, there are questions to be asked from people who don't move rocks for a living. Only way for the layman to find out if this works is to either get a masters degree in physics or go out and try to move a one ton boulder with a pebble. I do actually believe it's possible, but I can see where clarke is coming from.
KllNG Says:
Nov 16, 2008 - Solving Stonehenge (the book) actually solves part of the mystery, google it
