Sep 11, 2008 - Its get like sad then immediately back to jumpin lol Love this guy he's the white jimi hendrix haha

ageist3 Says:

Sep 12, 2008 - does it not just irritate you when people like this dont become house hold names. these are the people who should be the biggest things. People with real talent

user192021 Says:

Sep 12, 2008 - It pisses me off to be honest... Kotke, Fahey (when he was alive), and tons of other relatively uknown musicians out there with REAL talent should be the ones on cribs, gettin' all the girls, and livin' the life. Not these faggots we have these days like the Jonas brothers.

tucanoj Says:

Sep 14, 2008 - Where can you get this song?

Steve99jp66 Says:

Sep 18, 2008 - ageist and user 192021, get over yourselves! You guys have the problem, thinking that it takes money and babes to signify 'talent.' What a crock! It's the other way around. If the world loves it, it's probably mediocre crap. Check out the girl in red next to Kottke. She's bored as hell! It doesn't matter that she's witnessing something phenomenal, she'd still rather be at a Beach Boys concert. So what? Kottke is still great, and happy doing what he does. That's all that matters.

jwiwood Says:

Sep 18, 2008 - I have loved Leo K. since I was a teen. Not saying how long ago that is...haha. I played guitar and he was my hero then. Some of his older stuff is fantastic. Look up "bean time" for a rocker or "louise" if your more sentimental.

user192021 Says:

Sep 18, 2008 - I think you're confused Steve99jp66. My point (and I think ageist3's point as well) was that Leo Kottke is extremely talented, but not very well known because mainstream America is not interested in this type of music...

Sep 19, 2008 - 3:43...boy's got thunder in his hands.

letebaguere Says:

Sep 29, 2008 - way to demonstrate your poor reading ability. both ageist and user said exactly what you did. dumbass.

Steve99jp66 Says:

Sep 30, 2008 - Excuse me? Ageist3 said it bothers him Kottke is not a household name. I said it shouldn't matter, as that's not what signifies real success. User192021 said guys like Kotkke should have the cribs and the babes. I pointed out that Kottke is very successful even if not as rich as some pop stars. My point was that it's perfectly natural that great genius goes unnoticed by the larger world, but that's ok. So I would suggest YOU take a few remedial reading courses, letebaguere...

Oct 16, 2008 - Saw Leo at Mem Aud on the campus of Stanford University in the mid 70s (75?). The boy sounded just like this, just like the end of the world. Nothing more beautiful. Thanks for posting this.

user192021 Says:

Oct 18, 2008 - English is not your native language...is it.

Steve99jp66 Says:

Oct 19, 2008 - ??? I thought it was, but apparently not, since I don't have the slightest clue what you're getting at. ???

NothingSacred27 Says:

Oct 19, 2008 - This guy is phenomenal!! I just learned about him a few weeks ago after my parents saw him life, he is spectacular.

KDJOHNCOX Says:

Oct 19, 2008 - I'm probably right up there with your parents. Played in a band for years and back in University at 55 so - he was great when I was young. Still ON apparently

thrummer1953 Says:

Oct 25, 2008 - Terrific!

godlyguitarist43 Says:

Oct 26, 2008 - I've never found this particular medley on any of his albums but the three songs are called part two, june, and train and the gate "Part Two" is on the album "Guitar music" june is on "Clone" and "Train and the Gate" is on "Instumentals: The...Chrysalis" hope this helps people looking for these songs, sometimes there tough to find

tmjcbs Says:

Oct 26, 2008 - Eeehh....not quite: the second tune is June Bug (not 'June'), which is on 'Mudlark' (1971). And although The Train And The Gate is on the compilation mentioned it was originally released on 'Burnt Lips' (1978).

godlyguitarist43 Says:

Oct 26, 2008 - your right , i just realized the songs are named in the description no wonder i've had trouble finding "june bug" they don't have the mudlark album available on rhapsody anymore

wrappindude Says:

Oct 28, 2008 - How does he tune his guitar on Girl of the north country?

Rogermead Says:

Nov 3, 2008 - Do you want good grammar or great music?
