Oct 23, 2008 - But who the fuck listens to peter gabriel anyway?

ozzymeetsjesus Says:

Oct 23, 2008 - Live at the marquee or live in tokyo were better live performances for him. Score definitely beats Live at Budokan and Chaos in motion, but its hard to say if its better than Live scenes from new york. I'm going to say it does because he has some good notes in score, but his tone is more pleasant in LSFNY, much more like he was in the early 90's. Labrie post 2000 has a different tone than he did when he was in his prime. Its fine if you're used to it, if not, then its an ear-sore, sorry to say.

Oct 23, 2008 - well..true..but still they kinda ripped off the melody for the verse and beginning guitar part..

ozzymeetsjesus Says:

Oct 23, 2008 - Eh, might be true. I'm not going to listen to it because I refuse to listen to Peter Gabriel. But dream theater does take things from their influences from time to time. Look at the song octavarium, theres alot in there that they added simply to show their influences. Although I really hope Peter isn't an influence...

Starsmuse Says:

Oct 23, 2008 - well despite what you choose to like or not im sure they might be influenced by a whole different catagory of artists.. but its not really a case of showing influence..they kind of blatently ripped it off..im not sayin its bad and im not sayin peter gabriel is good..im just sayin..

ozzymeetsjesus Says:

Oct 24, 2008 - Well I still like corn dogs.

Starsmuse Says:

Oct 24, 2008 - me too man.. me too

DTgods Says:

Oct 24, 2008 - really good band, musicians ,video and sound quality...

luchasocial Says:

Oct 26, 2008 - in fact, Wikipedia says it's an allusion to Salsbury Hill. Look at the name: "Solitary Shell"

Starsmuse Says:

Oct 27, 2008 - Forgive me for not trusting wiki, they are user edited and full of bad information. It may be that but if you read the lyrics the two songs are not connected in anyway. Its not really a big deal i just thought it was funny tht of all the songs they useda peter gabriel riff..

madpiratetommy Says:

Oct 28, 2008 - Even though this song is amazing, the only comment I gotta say is "lol at portnoy's shirt"

Antonucciprog Says:

Oct 29, 2008 - ma nel DVD non mi pare che c è come è possibile???

pie200 Says:

Oct 29, 2008 - im also skeptical of wiki.. but the similarities between the two songs are pretty obvious and dream theater has often said genesis was one of their influences so it makes sense they would pick one of gabriels best tunes

Devilsjinx Says:

Nov 1, 2008 - read the DT bio and u will see that they also noticed that it's pretty close to solsbury hill but AFTER writing six degrees of inner turbulence

yhtomitalmighty Says:

tthayer2 Says:

Nov 8, 2008 - this is the best part of six degrees, and dream theater is awesome. But i have to say, the bassist is a creeper.

edge55x2 Says:

Nov 12, 2008 - Mike Portnoy.THAT'S WHO!!!!!!!Really,man.Get real!

edge55x2 Says:

Nov 12, 2008 - Mike Portnoy!That's who listens to Peter Gabriel!!!!Get real,man!

ozzymeetsjesus Says:

Nov 12, 2008 - mike portnoy just lost a lot of my respect then.

battleblades Says:

Nov 14, 2008 - Dude Mr. John Myung is probably one of the most humble and nice guys you will ever meet in your life. He is incredibly shy, but has a really warm personality and never likes to show off. Your shallow comment is just the perfect definition of judging a book by his cover (in my mind he does not look like a creeper at all).

heydenlabelle777 Says:

Nov 15, 2008 - Nice shirt, mike! lol

criatura3000 Says:

Nov 16, 2008 - estupenda cancion...

eklundhisgod Says:

Nov 17, 2008 - Yeah he never LIKES to show off but he's so awesome that he does it automatically. Same with every other member of DT.
