Important info - Please read: Speech patterns have been found in a radio signal released by NASA almost 3 years previously in 2004. Judge for yourself what the voices are saying, it is a very bizarre anomaly but very much worth investigating. Instructions: 1) Download and save the original WAV file from NASA/Cassini website: http://saturn.jpl.nasa.gov/multimedia/images/saturn/audio/pia07967-072504.wav 2)Open an audio editor like Cool Edit or Sonar and raise the pitch/frequency of the file by 12 tones with the pitch shifter.. and there it is, speech patterns. How can anyone explain this anomaly. Certainly NASA have no explanation for it after we presented the file to them for their opinion. SETI also dont know what make of it. What do you think? vistafour Says:
Dec 3, 2008 - I thought the only way to measure sounds in space was through electromagnetic vibrations, not through radio waves.

Dec 3, 2008 - mellifluous, i dont think that aliens would call our planet the same name that we do... its not universal, someone just made it up, we didnt get it from some extraterrestrial superior universal being, so that every living thing in the universe uses the same name, it just is a human word for it. so peeps, dont be scared, the aliens dont want more earth lol

Dec 4, 2008 - somebody have to try to listen it in slow motion, to extend the signal, maybe then it is posible to hear something
musback Says:
Dec 4, 2008 - Please add to the description these are presumably "northern lights" radio-emissions, just like we have those on earth. Sorry to pop ur bubbles, i also wish it was alien language, but it appears to be magnetic disturbances.

Dec 4, 2008 - Has anybody tried reversing the "speach" sounds? That might be interesting!
scotland31282 Says:
Dec 4, 2008 - hmm... interesting.... tho space faring species would most likely not use radio as it is not is not a viable way to communicate over such vast distances! it may be our own radio signals caught in the rings or dense atmosphere of saturn

Dec 4, 2008 - Wow. Apparently, this guy is smarter than NASA scintists. We should give him the job instead. Seriously, we are all entitled to our opinions. My opinion is that opinion is presumptous

Dec 4, 2008 - rocks actully, its ring is made up of millions of tiny pebbles (to rocks the size of your head) that are all floating within its gravity, so if your were to ice skate on it you'd half to find that was the size of a bus.
botchalism Says:
Dec 4, 2008 - Sorry, it's so hard to tell under all those layers of lard.
Quake120 Says:
Dec 4, 2008 - I believe what we are hearing here is a prime example of what is called "apophenia". Apophenia is the tendency for humans to recognize patterns in random stimuli. It SOUNDS like voices because it has patterns similar to voices. Just because it SOUNDS like voices doesn't mean that it IS voices. Who knows, though. It could be our brains tricking us into recognizing random stimuli or it could be real voices. :) Very cool, whatever it is.
