Apr 13, 2008 - How would you know what it's like to squat when your small if your tall? Lol

NicholasDoumbia Says:

May 19, 2008 - Same, I'm 14 6'3" and am horrible at squats...Lucky short people :(

robertarichardson Says:

Jun 9, 2008 - hieght doesnt make a differance to squats! is you go down to parralel and up to straite the muscles are being worked in the same motion whether your tall or short. most people hate squats, stop lucking for excuses! as the old saying goes..... ''SHUT UP AND SQUAT''

NeoOsiris19 Says:

Jun 24, 2008 - I'm pretty sure height has nothing to do with difficulty of squatting. I'm 6'1 and have no problems squatting, I've always been under the impression that the squat movements are generally all relative regardless of height. I think the major difference is whether you have longer legs relative to the rest of your body.

ilikcagrls Says:

Jun 24, 2008 - actually....the dynamics of taller people squating makes it more difficult..... so comparing weights of someone who is shorter to someone who is taller shouldn't be done. most people who squat over 1,000lbs are not 6'6"+ I am willing to bet no one is over 6'3"

kaaledb Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - i'm 17, 6'7".... squats are worse than hell itself haha

kaaledb Says:

Jul 7, 2008 - what is this guys weight, height, max squat, and age? thanks!

BigMbot Says:

Jul 8, 2008 - Holy shit, he is 6 foot 6, and 15, it sais it right in the title.

legendrow Says:

Jul 9, 2008 - Height will define the range of motion a person is able to perform. It is less likely that a taller person will be able to perform ATG squats as efficiently as a shorter person.

7bush7 Says:

Jul 11, 2008 - im 6'3 189lbs and squats arent that hard in the beginning they really sucked but i think your body gets used to its im not sure if what i aquat is alot two 45's on each side plus the bar is like 225lbs?

tt856 Says:

Jul 14, 2008 - im 13 5'2 and i squat 250

Abandonednati0n Says:

Jul 15, 2008 - im 5'7 and squats are the shit. fuck u tall mothafuckas

bravesat2 Says:

Aug 10, 2008 - hahahah try squatting when your 6'5 300lbs. that really sucks

257morg Says:

Aug 16, 2008 - Taller means better lever. Tall people can work with higher weights, but they never get a muscle form as short people. So you have to train harder for better physic, you have to eat much more etc. They are just lazy to train, that's all. Dynamic isn't different, as long your body is proportional. And the way is equalized by lever, as said.

delyshBB Says:

Aug 25, 2008 - The average person though, should squat more if they're taller. With training, you're right. A taller person has naturally more muscle on them and their tendons and ligaments are longer.

nikeswoosh79 Says:

Sep 5, 2008 - Two things here. First, this is a little young to be getting into heavy loaded weight. 15 year olds don't need heavy resistance to build strength and power. Second... BIG second! If you're gonna train this movement coach, DO IT RIGHT. His knees should never be moving anterior to his feet up or down and obviously this IS happening. Be careful. Good Luck.

Raptorel Says:

Sep 21, 2008 - That's irrelevant, you have more leverage to express even a lower amount of strength in the sports event itself (say basketball). So don't feel sorry for yourselves.

UncleZach Says:

Sep 26, 2008 - im 14 yrs old 165 pounds and i box squat 235 6 timess

diesel7777777 Says:

Sep 29, 2008 - It does require more muscular strength for a taller person to move the same weight. The leverage is not as great due to the femur being longer, and the weight must also be moved a greater distance. That being said, tall people, with enough work, can squat great weights.

TWKILLJOY Says:

Oct 4, 2008 - WORD. I'm 6'5 and I ABSOLUTELY DREAD doing squats at football practice. But, they do help so I live with them.

gold194 Says:

Oct 17, 2008 - i know someone who is 5'6 175 lbs who can squat 643lbs so...

ISG187 Says:

Oct 18, 2008 - yeah this is true im 5'5 and i can squat 315 lbs

beats1n1shit Says:

romerov002 Says:

Oct 28, 2008 - I've always been wondering why tall people have a hard time doing squats...now i know. now I'm kinda glad I'm 5'8".

Thrasher502 Says:
