Oct 31, 2008 - wynton is a hell of a lot better than this guy his tone, technique, and the fluid playing of his is just amazing.

phillyfirst Says:

Oct 31, 2008 - this guy is great

phillyfirst Says:

Oct 31, 2008 - this guy is great

boricuatrumpet69 Says:

Nov 2, 2008 - why would you compare trumpeters? they are both great trumpeters. each with it's own style and interpretation of what they play. can you show me 2 trumpeters that sound and play alike. I don't think so.

gerry1976 Says:

Nov 7, 2008 - He plays excellent, but. 1. No facial expression 2. Too serious 3. Too conservative. 4. He doesn't move on stage (and that's in every single clip) We normal people like guys like Arturo Sandoval that has charistma with a beer belly, smiley, friendly, a guy that moves in stage. This guy is just too serious its like looking at a Robot .

JayLizzle Says:

Nov 7, 2008 - there is no way that Wynton has better technique, as far as classical playing is concerned. And Nakariakov's tone IMO is his main strength, absolutely perfect. Had Wynton specialised on classical playing, he may have reached Andre/Nakariakov level, but not as a Jazz/classic hybrid.

mapexphil Says:

Nov 7, 2008 - In my opinion everybody has his own style of playing an it is bullshit to compare with others especially with guys who play other styles (like Arturo Sandoval) Did you hear him playing classic???? You should respect everybody in THEIR playing! If there is a lack of something than post a video where you do it BETTER!

mapexphil Says:

Nov 7, 2008 - In my opinion you should respect sb in what he is playing and not comparing him with others who are playing a totaly other genre of music! And when you criticize him in the way you did post a video in which you did better... It is his style to play like that so listen to his music... maby I misunderstood your opinion! When this is the case I apologize

gerry1976 Says:

Nov 7, 2008 - You did not misunderstood my opinion, that it exaclty what i feel. Don't get me wrong Sargei is excellent trumpet player, but he's just a Robot playing on stage. But hey this is what the internet is all about freedom of speech. Greeting.

swimmaniac0000 Says:

Nov 9, 2008 - in my opinion he looks piss as he plays but damn if he can toung that fast then IDC WHAT HE LOOKS LIKE

UltimaShot4 Says:

Nov 9, 2008 - it may just be me but he might be too busy tonguing like a flippin beast to spend time shaking hands and signing babies.

UltimaShot4 Says:

Nov 9, 2008 - absolutely mind-boggling.

DunkdaHunk Says:

Nov 11, 2008 - seriously this guy is really friendly! ever seen him off stage? Clearly not, he's a really nice guy and really enthiusiastic, besides have u tried moving at all whilst playing this piece? I can play it, but I have stay dead still throughout otherwise I can't play it, my technique goes to shit, hence y he doesn't move.

derekw432 Says:

PolyphonicSeduction Says:

Nov 22, 2008 - Apparently you need to listen to a little more Sergie, He is hardly a robot, He is certainly one of the most expressive trumpets players one could ever think of. Maybe not in this piece, because this piece was written specifically to Show Case virtuosic skills, not really much expression to show when you are flying that fast. Just take a listen to the lyrical passages, they are gorgeous, your supposed to be like a robot in the technical passages. The whole Arban's book is an exercise minus the

noray161 Says:

Nov 23, 2008 - I think gerry should define what exactly a robot is. It's a difficult piece, and he nailed it. 5:27-5:56; Beast!

trumpetdude510 Says:

Nov 26, 2008 - if you watched winton play this on another video, you would realize that sergei is a lot better. Winton plays like a 14 year old in this piece. I shold know. i am one.

NAVYMU1RET Says:

Nov 28, 2008 - THANK YOU!!!

wahnwee23 Says:

Nov 28, 2008 - O.O that's almost all i have to say O.O this is amazing! I hope i could play as well as he does someday! i just got the solo a couple weeks ago and this along with other vid's helped me with some rhythms. thanks for posting!

low6ow Says:

Dec 3, 2008 - Dudes now i am playing the carnival and i can tell you ITS REALY HARD

trumpetdude510 Says:

Dec 4, 2008 - I love how they keep on showing the flute player that apparently forgot his flute.

Donuty7 Says:

Dec 4, 2008 - i havea feeling that he might be the piccolo player for this orchestra. I don't believe there is a piccolo part for this song.
