When they disbanded, there was an unspoken promise to re-unit someday, Hide believed. He never liked to be referred to as ex-xjapan because he was still the member of xjapan nonetheless. The producer of the movie really liked the work Yoshiki has done with his prior film and asked if he can do for this one as well.

Yoshiki thought they should do this with Hide in it since it always has been their dream and because he is still the member of X. There won't be a replacement, he stated, but there may be a 6th member for the tour. Mind you all that Yoshiki never liked how Hide's death brought such an attention and all the buzz.
