Title Has been changed to "Simply Raw: Reversing Diabetes in 30 Days" About the film: Six McDonalds-munching Americans eat 100% vegan live foods for a month. Medical results are fantastic. Doctors and experts are interviewed including Gabriel Cousens, MD and David Wolfe. Raw for 30-Days Raw for 30-Days will document the journey of five Americans suffering from Adult Onset Type II Diabetes, who undergo a radical 30-day diet and lifestyle change in the hope of reversing or reducing their insulin dependence. The film will show the eating habits that led to the development of this disease and will posit an alternative approach to living and eating, one in which foods can heal and hold the potential to reverse Diabetes. Those selected will journey to the Tree of Life Rejuvenation Center in Arizona to undergo a 30-day health regimen consisting of 100% raw organic living foods that are purported to heal Diabetes. We will select a diverse group of subjects, representative of the different segments of the population most affected by this epidemic. Examples include a Native American from a Reservation, an African American from an urban Northeast city, a Mexican American living in the western US and a Caucasian person from the mid-west or a Southern city such as Chattanooga, TN. Oct 25, 2008 - The website for this movie is horrible. I'm very interested, but when is this coming out? Is it already out? How can I see it? When can I see it? Details, please.

pedledge Says:

Oct 25, 2008 - Hey Guys, we have some interesting comments below: meat this, doctors that etc. Anyhow, just to go by facts regardless if it relates to politics, hippies or what ever; 1, doctors study for 6 years and do you know how much time out of the 6 years is spent on nutrition? Half a day, oh and that is optinal.

pedledge Says:

Oct 25, 2008 - btw - i do understand your thinking in regards to eating meat and what our doctors say and tell us, simply because the media, doctors, even governments are all govern by the most profitable business in the world second to arms/war, which is the health and wellness.

lighthousemaster Says:

Oct 25, 2008 - So when we actually see the video above on raw food and the impact it can have on us, it goes against every thing we have been told.

lighthousemaster Says:

Oct 25, 2008 - There is no argument in my words but another possible way to look at something that we may not understand because of what we have been told. Even milk is said to be healthy and good for bones etc but this is incorrect. I would not believe this after all i was given milk by my school teacher for the best part of my childhood and hey, my school teacher would not lie! But fact is they did not know. (check out the book 'the china study' that some one has already referenced below)

lighthousemaster Says:

Oct 26, 2008 - And it is at that time when we have a choice to ignore and die or go against all that we have been told (which goes against our own sanity as we know it, which is why is can be so difficult) and save our life. It is proven that a vegetarian diet saves between 10-15 of our life... also

lighthousemaster Says:

Oct 26, 2008 - The UN released a document called The Dark Shadow or the long shadow (do a google search for it) anyhow it states that having a meat diet (raising life stock) causes global warming more than all the transport in the world - cars, trains, lorries, planes etc, etc by more than 40%) So my point to the above is really this; Live your life in the most loving way possible. But some times it takes pain in our lives before we can really understand.

itsme099 Says:

Oct 26, 2008 - Natural carnivores have acidic blood and short colons. Human beings have alkaline blood and long colons, like other plant eaters. Eating cooked and processed foods and animal products(dead food) raises our acidity unnaturally which in turn causes degeneration and disease. This is true for al1 humans regardless of blood type.

lighthousemaster Says:

Oct 26, 2008 - well put, itsme009. i thought that carnivores have short, short intestines (x2) and humans have 1 Long and 1 short (x2)? But the same priciple still stands, we are designed to eat a plant based diet.

RiskyStickers Says:

Oct 27, 2008 - Buy a VITA MIX Blender. It Makes it SO... EASY.

Samua3 Says:

Oct 29, 2008 - I don't remember the exact disc now but it was on the EFT dvd set for serious diseases etc. It wasn't Gary Craig who said it but one of the other male therapists. Sorry I can't be more specific - no time yet to search back through to find who it was. In the end though, prescribed medication is just a piece of tape over the oil light. We need to somehow improve our health so we don't end up at the doctors if poss. Don't you agree? Off for a coffee now I've said all that. hee hee

hildiperez Says:

Nov 1, 2008 - What veggies are protein? I would really like to know. Diabetics require to eat protein! I am very interested in becoming a vegan. I run a mile drink lots of water and eat all the fruits and vegetables. Please respond.

deirdre444 Says:

Nov 2, 2008 - ALL veggies have protein. Protein needs are easily met on a raw vegan diet because raw vegans don't cook their food. Cooking destroys the amino acids that make up protein. Therefore, protein is much more bio-available on an all raw, vegan diet. The meat and dairy industries exaggerated the need for protein in order to scare people into eating their products. If you are worried about protein, research food value tables for fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds.

InvisiMan2006 Says:

Nov 3, 2008 - deirdre444 is 100% correct. Not only that, but the protein found in meat and dairy is not properly absorbed by our bodies, so it's a very inefficient way of getting it.

ilesram Says:

Nov 8, 2008 - Every veg has the right amount of protein our body needs.

richardmoores Says:

Nov 10, 2008 - Where does a cow get it's protein? From the vegetation. If you eat cow to get protein, it follows that a cows body is full of protein, so if it gets that protein from the vegetation, we can also. Protein is the middle man, what we really need is amino acids which make up protein, and all fresh vegetables are full of amino acids.

GenocideGod Says:

Nov 17, 2008 - You also need Iron. Veggies like Lentils have high iron, and you should eat them regularly. There are certain foods you will need to eat regularly to have the nutrients your body needs.

GenocideGod Says:

Nov 17, 2008 - We are regarded as omnivores for a reason, we have the aspects of both carnivores and herbivores. We are designed to eat both, but because certain plants have the nutrients we need that come from meat, we can eat only vegetables if we have to knowledge of what to eat. That does not make us herbivores as a species, we are omnivores.

shedininja001 Says:

Nov 23, 2008 - so did a bunch of people give up?

shedininja001 Says:

Nov 23, 2008 - wow nevermind my last comment good idea. more of this sort of experatmention
