First and foremost, keep yourself warm and safe. Here's how: * Take along a fishing buddy or two and leave a detailed float plan. * It is more important now, more than ever, to wear your PFD at all times aboard your boat. * Avoid denim and cotton clothing and instead wear layers of wool and high-tech synthetics. Now when it comes to the actual FISHING time: * Investigate what any water birds are doing, like herons, cormorants or grebes. This is me on my 1993 Nichols Trident just after de-winterization. The engine is an AMW 500 designed for SCCA F500 racing. These machines were handbuilt from '93-'95 by Nichols Watercraft Lp. in California. Any other information on these is very hard to come by. They are very rare and were built in limited numbers.
